The Fitness Place Gyms are fully equipped to suit all levels of fitness and ability. We have an extensive range of both Cardiovascular and resistance machines as well as a free weights area for more specific training. The air-conditioned Fitness Place Gyms at Tandridge Leisure Centre and de Stafford Sports Centre also have a Power Plate (Power Plate is subject to an induction and additional payment).
Whatever your main focus is within the gym, we'll have the right equipment to ensure you get the workout you need to reach those results and goals. Our qualified staff will also be on hand to progress or adapt any exercise you feel has become too easy or repetitive, by introducing new equipment to your routine or by simply showing you various ways in which the same piece of equipment can be used in many different ways to get those desired results.
At The Fitness Place Gyms, you will need to complete an induction prior to using the facilities, which is a great opportunity to view all of the equipment, ask any questions you may have, and be shown the correct way in which it can be used to assist you with achieving your desired results. However your induction goes far beyond that; it's actually comprised of two parts.
Initially, you will have a one-to-one session with one of our highly qualified instructors. They will review your medical history and start to build a personalised programme based upon your wants and goals. With this, our instructors will also explain exactly how all of our equipment works and how to use it to get the best results for you.
Your second session will include a body statistic test, which is a detailed account of your health and fitness at this moment in time. This is great for two reasons; 1) it lets us know where you are right now, so we can adjust the programme according to these results, and 2) we can use the results in 6-8 weeks time to monitor your progress. You can then retake the test and use the new results to assist with any programme updates. With the Induction package, you will also receive a free 30 minute session on our Power Plate machine, where you will be shown how this can help you in your fitness goals. If the Power Plate is something you do not wish to use, we will then spend this time going through our programme with you in a mini Personal Training session.
